The studio was given the task of designing a cooling device for dermatological therapy. The device ejects a cold air pressurized stream which upon contact with the skin surface reliefs patient’s pain. The cooling device is also used for surgical laser operations or lamp pulse treatment, for the patient comfort and reduced tissue vulnerability.
Prior to design the studio preformed an extensive observational research including interviews with doctors using the product in their day to day work, to understand the needs and constraints of the users.
The design aims at being clean and simple in order to fit a multi-machined equipped clinic and abstains form stylistic elements. The design was carried out with the user in the center and put much attention to a friendly and intuitive user experience.
